CHRIS VAN DER WALT

Chris has an insatiable enthusiasm for life and this shines through in his commitment and love for his business. 

Chris was the founding member of Chris van der Walt Properties in 1987 and along with his wife Liz, he started a company which has stood the test of time. 

The 62-year-old Port Elizabethan and Pearson matriculant left Port Elizabeth for a brief period of twelve years following a career in financial management. But eventually his hometown called him back and he returned in 1981 due to a changed outlook on life following his studies in the Humanities.  

He has been married to his wife Liz for the past 42 years and they have a daughter Debbie and son Christiaan who is also a property agent with the business. 

Initially Chris became involved in the property market on a part-time basis but after only six short months his new career choice became a permanent one. 

Chris is a keen sportsman with a particular love for the outdoors. He enjoys swimming, cycling, running, hiking, camping and specifically angling for which he holds S.A. National Masters colours.  

He describes himself as a realistic romantic but it is his integrity and passion for his business which stands out when discussing and dealing with all things property related.
